Spot the Con Microsite for Sony’s American Hustle

creative direction, web design, and illustration

2013
Sony wanted to promote the release of American Hustle with a collection of microsite games. I designed this one to present the user with a series of whodunnit scenarios and ask them to solve the cons based on clue filled questions. Inspired by magazine editorials from the late 1970’s, I framed the game around marker illustrations that hinted at how the con was accomplished. The logo and interface design supports the experience by focusing and directing the eye.
